After suggesting an idea for online collaboration, Danusia Samal put a callout online for performers, writers and directors to get in touch. Interested creatives got in touch, filling out a questionnaire on their interests, tastes, and dream collaborations. Countless emails and spreadsheets later, nearly 50 people of different backgrounds, experiences, and disciplines were matched up, many having never met in real life. These collaborators started Zooming/Skyping/Whatsapping and deciding what to make and rehearsing remotely. The fruits of their labour will be launched on April 27th. But what has the process been like?
